The Village - Vallon Pont d’Arc-Salavas

Salavas is a wonderful ancient village in the Ardeche Valley. On the opposite shore of the Ardeche lies the bigger town of Vallon Pont d’Arc. The centre of Salavas has been beautifully restored and it is great fun to stroll around the old masonry. The village is quiet and ideal to escape the hectic everyday life. On the other hand Vallon is very busy during the summer season. It offers a weekly market and many shops and restaurants as well as supermarkets close-by. It takes about 20 min on foot from Salavas to the centre of Vallon.
