For summiteers

A trip to the Cevenns and a hike there is an absolute must. You can climb the Gerbie de Jonc or the Mont Mesenc and enjoy terrific views. You can visit the spring of the Loire or have a cooling bath in one of the many lakes like Lac de Villefort. If you are interested in history you can explore old and beautiful villages with historical backgrounds like la Garde de Guerin on Mont Lozere or simply breathe in the clear air before going on. A picnic at the Cascades du Ray is a highlight as well. Maps of trails are available everywhere.
